Review about BuyHTTP by Mambo Hosting Directory

BuyHTTP is a relatively new company, which has a very clear focus on providing script hosting. Among the scripts they support, Mambo, Joomla and WordPress are their best-sellers. They provide different solutions to different needs and have developed 4 shared hosting plans, as well as semi-dedicated hosting solutions.

Feature-Price Effectiveness

BuyHTTP's prices start from $4.95/mo for the smallest plan - 100MB space, 1MySQL database, 4GB transfer, etc. We consider that plan to be too small and not competitive with what the other companies offer. That is why we chose to evaluate their second plan - $8.95/year without a setup fee. The plan includes 200MB space, 20GB transfer, 5 MySQL dbs, 1 free Mambo installation, $9.95 domain registration, cpanel with Fantastico for Mambo installation (if you want to do it yourself), etc. They offer the basic hosting set for a Mambo website, but we think the price is too high for the set of features they offer as compared to the other companies. Maybe it's time for them to increase the space and traffic quotas?

Support Quality

BuyHTTP provides fast 24/7 technical support. They manage to be friendly and quick in responding even to low-priority tickets. It takes them a couple of hours to address some issues, but overall they won't keep you waiting and will fix your problem professionally.

Customer opinion

Our research of BuyHTTP and its image on the net did not leave us with lots of material for discussion. There weren't many reviews for the company and we could only conclude that it is still too young for having a long history and tons of recorded feedback. We will continue to watch their development and reflect it in our review.

Our Evaluation

We ranked BuyHTTP second because they prove to be stable and focused on supporting mambo. They still need to work on improving their features and image. The company won lots of bonus points because they provide additional Mambo resources for their clients at affordable prices.
